“Implacable dry heat interrupted by waves of löyly is the essence of sauna”

Sauna

  • Etymology

There are two different types of saunas, traditional and infrared saunas. Ours is a traditional sauna made of Canadian Cedar. Read more about the history of saunas by clicking here.

  • Health

Saunas have been used for years for relaxation and pleasure. Science can now verify some of the health benefits. Read here for more information on the benefits of traditional sauna use.

  • Heat

The heat in the sauna helps us to relax and regulates the level of cortisol in our blood. Cortisol is the hormone that is released when we're stressed, and too high levels of cortisol can lead to a number of health issues such as problems with the immune system and with sleeping.

  • Sweat

Saunas can flush toxins, cleanse skin and most importantly, help with spiritual well-being. Participating in a sweat can be a great way to connect with yourself and God. Sweating with others can promote a strengthened sense of community, connection to nature, and emotional and spiritual well-being.
